TaylorMade R11 Vs. Burner SuperFast 2.0: Club Face
I had intended to write a “final” review of how my new TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 preformed on the course today but I injured my thumb on my glove hand, thus that review will have to wait. No golf for Jay today! Even though I want to play one my round of 18 before going into detail about this driver, I have clocked 3 driving range sessions and 1 full round to this point and I have noticed something rather interesting about the Burner SuperFast 2.0 verses all the other TaylorMade drivers I have used over the years: its face. What I have found in my experience thus far with my Burner 2.0 is that I have much greater success off the tee when I tee the ball up about 1/4 to 1/2 inch lower than with all my prior drivers, including the TaylorMade R5, Tour Burner, and the 2008 Nike SQ. I used to tee the ball so its equator was about even with the top (or crown) of the driver’s face at address. With the face of the Burner SuperFast 2.0 being black I noticed all the ball marks were on the very top of the face.
