Zelocity PureContact Launch Monitor

Postby Jay » Fri Mar 25, 2011 6:47 pm

I just ordered the Zelocity PureContact Launch Monitor from intheholegolf.com for $229. The PGA Academy Pro, Mike Richards, from whom I received my lesson was using it to gauge my carry distances for evaluation purposes. I intend to do the same on the range once the spring arrives. Stay tuned for my review, and if you have used this, please let me know what you think!

Well, I have had the opportunity to use the Zelocity launch monitor on a few occasions now, and it has turned out to be a great tool. I no longer have to bother using/worrying if the yardage signs and/or flags are accurate. I just set this baby up and swing away.

here is a pic of what registered after a clean 7i shot. And my goal is to increase those numbers as the season progresses.

I had the chance to use it again on the range this past week and i can tell that my 7-iron is getting longer! Here is the proof...

However, the Zelocity PureContact is not without its faults either. Pictured below is the reading after a worm burner. My best guess is that it recorded the club head, rather than the ball!

The day I hit my 7-iron 236 is the day I show up a Q School! haha!
