True rookie Brendan Steele shows his metal by sinking a final key putt at the last hole to maintain a one stroke lead and win the Valero Texas Open. Not too shabby for the 28 year old from California to win in only his 12th start on the PGA Tour. Steele moves to 19th in the FedExCup standings with 623 points and punches his ticket to be in the field for the 2012 Masters Tournament with this win. Showing nerves of steel, Brendan sunk a 6-footer to seal the deal.
What? Too many puns?! It was just too easy!
Congratulations Mr. Steele, hope to see more of you on the weekends this year on tour!
